riley + bryant wed

There are some people that you get to work with that make the job so fun and completely worth all the blood, sweat {whew- texas summers} and tears {well, maybe a little of a reach} that go into the occasion… Kelly + Riley are two of these people.  Kelly {mom of the bride}, works at  Anthropologie and pulled together the details from Anthro + BHLDN {heart}.  Kelly had {a florists dream}  amazing vessels that she  pulled  from her private collections … simply making  all the details so personal.  We loved the muted hues of  mint, robins egg blue, soft peaches to bold hues of coral, orange, and pinks that were pulled together.  There were various unique  details such as wishing well guestbook, skeleton key escort tags, guest departed with fresh peaches from the peach stand,  and tablescapes of clustered Anthropologie bottles adorned in coral peony, garden roses, astilbe, dahlias and much much more, 24k gold antlers and & vessels and a collection of fabulous vintage books.  The evening was beautiful and filled with happy times!

cammie + matt

cammie, hands down was one of our favorite brides….so laid back and free spirited!  with her hues and inspiration in mind she gave us free reign to create to our hearts desire.  I did not get to meet cammie until the day of the wedding when in passing we shared a wink and a smile.  we enjoyed the oooh’s and awww’s shared by her and her bridesmaids over the bouquets.  we just loved the fiesta theme – color packed celebration for their family + friends to kick off this new chapter in their lives!

dinner series | summer solstice

summer solstice –  occurs when the tilt of a planet’s semi-axis, in either the northern or the southern hemisphere, is most inclined toward the star (aka. the sun) that it orbits making the longest day of the year + the official beginning of summer!

With the  longest day of the year  right around the corner we think its a great time to gather friends a family for a mid-summer soiree. Balmy nights, cheerful crickets and dewy grass beg us to head outside and celebrate the season.  The Summer Solstice is a time of expanded will, celebration, blessings, spiritual renewal, festivals, and love.   The element for the solstice is fire… Nowadays you can reinvent the bonfire as a great reason to hold a summer solstice party with friends.

creating Fete nature―and create a lush ambience at the same time―with tents for the kids, a bon fire, signature cocktails and summery bites!  One again we collaborated with our fabulous neighbors at square one cafe to bring you yet another post for our dinner series.  Lindsay whipped up the perfect mix of summer sandwiches, texas grown watermelon+ fun snacks for the kids with the option for fentimans signature all natural sodas!  For a signature  summer cocktail pair fresh squeezed lemonade with your favorite vodka and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.  A big thanks to brenna with flying 3k photography for capturing all the beautiful details.

dinner series | cinco de mayo no.4

We find our selves immersed in sunshine and summer lurking just around the corner.  there is no better way to kicking off the summer season celebrating the upcoming holiday with simple gathering with friends + family.

One again we collaborated with our fabulous neighbors at square one cafe to bring you yet another post for our dinner series.  A big thanks to brenna with flying 3k photography for capturing all the beautiful details.

We used traditionally bright hued colors for our Cinco de Mayo celebration accented with earth tone of terra cotta vessels and simply strung papel picado in the spirit of the holiday.  We wanted to round out  the intimate tablescape with rich colors + textures using garden roses, anemone, pin cushions, ranunculus and locally grown poppies (our fav!)  with cut mexican beer bottles candles nestled throughout

Our signature drinks of traditional lime margaritas + mexican beer set the tone for this cinco de mayo dinner. You can have a little fun by Sweeten it up a bit… adding fresh fruit purees like mango or strawberry; or go crazy by adding cucumber, prickly pear, or even jalapeños to wow your guests.

For dinner, Lindsay with Square One Cafe, went with chicken fajitas rolled in flour tortillas. Mini crispy ground beef tacos topped with cilantro, onions, and limes. She suggested oou can make mini tacos just by cutting tortillas with a simple cookie cutter-how fun.  She  also included Mexican street tacos with their famous 12 hour pulled pork stuffed in white corn tortillas with all of the fixins’. But, to top it all off, they grilled up some fresh, sweet, corn on the cob and slathered it with Mexican crema , queso fresco, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. And of course served all of this with corn chips with pico de gallo, tomatillo salsa, roasted corn and black bean salsa, and our handmade guacamole.

One again we collaborated with our fabulous neighbors at square one cafe to bring you yet another post for our dinner series.  A big thanks to brenna with flying 3k photography for capturing all the beautiful details.

styled | beautiful weddings no.3

This past February we were so excited to have brought a concept for an upcoming editorial to life.  This shoot was incredible…. I melt every time I look through the photos.  And looking through these photos, I could do over and over again.  It would never get old.  Kelly and Brendon of Nine Photography killed it!  This shoot took place at LLELA, a little hiden gem just outside our back door.  We are very excited to share a little sneak peak at this upcoming project.

until then…
