Winter is fast approaching and this Earl is not taking any chances!  Help him collect as much food as possible to keep him going all winter long. Made from resin, the goal of this game is to stack as many acorns on his silver platter as you can.  The Earl the Squirrel Stacking Game is the perfect addition to any space in your home. So gather round some friends and help Earl enjoy the fruits of your labour.

fifty shades of love {main social}

Fifty Years… A spectacular anniversary milestone to celebrate with family and friends.

We were so honored to be contacted by the Ellis children about hosting their

September golden anniversary.  It was such a lovely intimate evening amongst their

family and closest friends.  To see how much love, memories, life experiences Sharon and Kent

shared between themselves fifty years later was so inspiring to all.

Cheers to fifty more!

the art of gift giving

We want to redefine gift giving as a form of expression… a way of expressing love, friendship, hope, happiness and joy.  A way of expressing yourself and your relationships. We want any sense of obligation removed from the gift giving process and every gift given to put a smile on the recipient’s face.

Drawing from the traditional and popular cultures of our world, we love searching for individuals who create inspiring designs that marry functionality with a playful sensibility. As varied as the people behind each product, our finds are injected with rich meaning, evoking emotion between objects and people.

In our search for fine design we have selected a lushous collection of  curiosities for your gift giving needs.  Our  product categories include food & drink, home & gift, desktop, and garden. Much like many cultural artifacts, we at we + you strive to find everyday objects that are not only aesthetically and functionally appealing, but also loveable.  Come visit us this holiday season!

rustic elegance

Barn weddings are taking place all over the county.  They offer the bride and groom very rustic but yet personable location.  We just love barn weddings, and were so inspired by this rural setting lending itself to somewhat of a enchanted feel!  This past July we were so excited to style this shoot for such a sweet couple Gabby + Kalon.

The table was simply adorned with antique pink, green + creamy white hues paired with rich twenty-four karat gold tones creating lush textures.  Our golden animals were the perfect details for this table scape bringing a personal touch to this pastoral setting.  We are happy to inspire you in creating your own perfect setting bringing together the old + new.

the announcement

You have just received the announcement of a new addition to the family.  What an exciting time for your

friend or family memeber.  First thoughts turn to a baby shower…  all the creative ideas can be put in action!

After deciding on the time & place, think about the invitations.  They don’t have to be

traditional…let your imagination take over.  It’s a good idea to incorporate the decor with the invitations,

its the first glimpse into your event that guest your guest receive.  The mom-to-be will have fun and have

great memories + pictures to kick off the milestones you will be documenting for many years to come.

Main Social in Historic Old Town Lewisville is the perfect setting for for any shower.

It is an intimate setting that lends itself to an assortment of decorating themes.

words by hanna vaughn…summer intern

Hi Everyone! My name is Hannah, and this summer I am working as a college intern at the fabulous We + You Studios. During the school year I work toward a degree in hospitality management at Texas Tech University. But enough about me, I’d love to tell you a little about what I’ve learned so far from this internship!

I was amazed at how much behind the scenes work goes into anything floral. One of the first things I learned was how far some flowers travel to reach events here in Texas. Thailand and Holland are just two of the distant places that the beautiful flowers come from. This is because not every flower grows in every climate, and very few flowers grow in Texas during the summer. After coming through the wholesaler, flowers and greenery arrive at the studio, and right away we begin processing. For some, this means clipping the ends and placing in a bucket with water and plant food. Others require a little more special preparation. Rose stems, for example, are stripped of thorns and leaves. This can be a pretty daunting task, especially with multiple bunches, but the end result is always worth it.  All of this happens before the foliage and blooms go into an arrangement.

Learning these processes has helped me see just how much time, energy, and expense goes into a florists’ job to achieve the phenomenal results you see at the event. There are no tricks or catches when it comes in investing in floral and an incredible amount of effort and care is put into these arrangements and plants of any kind. Not to mention, it’s nice to work where even the trash is pretty!
